Aamir happy that Ramu doesn’t want to cast him

Aamir though a bit reseved is known to speaking his mind but then again,ver politely.However this time Mr. perfectionist went absolutely blunt by telling the media that he is glad that director Ram Gopal Verma dropped his plans on casting him for his next film.
Apparently Ram Gopal Verma had been chasing Aamir for over three years to sign him for a film.But he later gave up on the idea owing to the long wait.

Aamir Khan who heard the news was rather calm about it and exclaimed that he is happy that Ramu does not want to work with him anymore.The duo had earlier given a mega hit Rangeela in the year 1995

RGV on the other hand blames Khalid Mohammed for the rift between him and Aamir.The story dates back to when Rangeela had been released and just six to seven months had passed.While giving an interview to Khalid Mohammed,jounalist turn film critic turned film maker Khalid Mohammed was interviewing RGV where the latter was explaining to him about the scene where Aamir aka Munna had taken Urmila to a five star restaurant.Talking about the technicalities of the scene and that the waiter’s role was crucial there,Khalid interpreted it as something else and later published that the waiter’s role was better than Aamir”.

RGV was at the time busy shooting for his next film at a remote location where he could not expalin the whole thing to Aamir.The miscommunication between the two has not been resolved as yet even after Ramu tried to smoothen things out later on.

Seems like Ram Gopal Varma is going through tough times.Even now,his movie Rann failed to bring audiences to the theaters on a large scale.

Aamir Khan faces hardships while attending father’s funeral

Aamir Khan had to face a lot of hardships to attend father Tahir Khan’s funeral.The actor was in the US with wife Kiran Rao to feature Peepli Live at the Sundance Film Festival.

In the middle of all the trauma he was facing,Aamir could not get a direct flight to India and had to struggle with the US authority.That is when his friend came to his rescue and helped him catch a indirect flight to India via Hong Kong so that Aamir could reach at his residence as early as possible.

The actor who reached his home on time said that theye were fortunate enough to reach home on time.He further said that the US are very stringent with flight departures and that his friend helped him to get here on time.

Aamir reached his residence at 2 p.m in the afternoon and did not talk to the media and went straight inside.His ex wife Reena who was present there since morning had come along with son Junaid and daughter Ira.

There were also many noted celebrities present there like Salim Khan,Kunal Kohli,Priya Dutt and husband,Raj Kumar Hirani,Kunal Kapoor,Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra,Prateik Babbar.They all waited outside the house to see Tahir Khan for the last time.Aamir burried his father’s body at 7 p.m in a kabristan in Santacruz.

Aamir Khan’s father, Tahir Hussain, a well-known filmmaker took his last breath on Tuesday morning. He was struck by a massive heart-attack. According to close sources from the family, Tahir died at the Bandra residence of Aamir. The other members of the family include Aamir, Faisal, Farhat & Nikkal (Aamir’s sisters) and his wife.

Tahir Hussain had a special place in the hearts of film-lovers as his journey includes some classics like “Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke” (1993) that starred son Aamir, “Dulha Bikta Hai” (1982), “Zakhmee” (1975), “Anamika” (1973) and “Caravan” (1971). He has produced a dozen films as his stint in the film industry. Tum Mere Ho was the only film directed by him, which was not successful at the Box-office.

The relationship between Aamir and his father had always been exploited by the media. The relationship strained when Hussain tried to raise finance for his film using Aamir’s name. Tahir later remarried and settled with his second wife.

The family’s latest star Imraan is presently in New Zealand and would soon be back in India to attend his grandfather’s funeral that would take place on Wednesday.

Even though the actor is not in the country he has made it a point to thank the people he needed to through his blog. The actor said that he felt very happy and proud. Aamir’s movie at Berlinale

Aamir Khan’s movies are known to gather recognition across the globe.
This time it is Anusha Rizvi’s directorial debut “Peepli Live”, which
is produced by Bollywood star Aamir Khan. The movie will be screened
at the 60th Berlinale film festival Feb 11-21.

Peepli Live is a satire on rural life in India and features Raghuvir
Yadav along with debutant actor from Madhya Pradesh. The film is among
22 to be shown in Berlinale Special section. The filmmakers will
attend the premieres and present their films. “Peepli Live” will have
its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in the US Jan 24.

Aamir looking for a new house

Aamir Khan is taking a well deserved break now that 3 Idiots is a hit
and Aamir hasn’t signed any new films. So, the actor, director is
finishing some unattened tasks. Apart from brushing up his cooking
skills to impress his wife and enhancing his Urdu language, Aamir is
busy house hunting.

Currently Aamir lives at Bandra’s Pali Hill and is looking for a flat
in the Union Park area at Khar in Mumbai. Whether he plans to shift in
the flat or set up his office there is not clear.

For the past two years Aamir has been working non-stop. First it was
his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par, then Ghajini and later Vidhu
Vinod chopra’s 3 Idiots. Now that he has taken an off he is making
sure he winds up all his personal work before taking up a movie.

When Aamir makes a movie or appears in one,it is good news for the audience..and I know a lot people will agree.The guy comes with something new,something for everyone in his film ! First it was Taare Zameen Par for kids,then there was 3 Idiots that appealed to the college students and now out of his bag comes “Peepli Live” which will purely be for adults.Though his earlier two films mentioned here have entertained both young and old alike,Peepli Live is meant only for audiences above 18.The A rating has been given by the censor board due to its dialogues and even though Aamir was offered to edit them to five the movie an “U” rating,he did not want to compromise on the script simply for the sake of “Indian audiences”

The movie titled Peepli Live is produced by Aamir but will not feature the star.It is a directorial debut by Anusha Rizvi and will mostly have a new star cast

Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par goes International !

While the movie 3 Idiots is topping the box office charts in India and set ground breaking records of all times.It is Aamir Khan’s yet another movie Taare Zameen Par has been launched as a CD/DVD in the US Market making Aamir Khan the first Bollywood actor to have his film made into a DVD in the American market.

The DVD has been released by Walt Disney Studio and has been titled as “Like Stars on Earth”.The DVD consists of animated interim,seven Bollywood tracks and an English language number for the international audience.

According to BBC Movie Reviews,”Like Stars on Earth, a little twinkling star of a movie, produced,directed and starring Aamir Khan features young Darsheel Safary in a performance that earned him a 2007 Filmfare nomination for Best Actor.”

Aamir’s new best friend

Aamir has been acting like a bridge between the two rival Khans,Salman and Shahrukh and had convinced both of them to watch 3 Idiots with him and though he has kept amicable relations with SRK and Salman,he has become closer to Sallu lately.

Aamir was seen as a guest with nephew Imraan Khan on the game show Dus Ka Dum hosted by Salman Khan and since then their friendship has grown.

The Idiot(thats become a compliment these days !) is seen hanging out with Salman a lot and is all praises for the latter.He admits that he enjoys Sallu’s company and they have started meeting with up each other more than they use to earlier.Aamir further adds that his new superstar friend is funny and a good hearted person and most of all he is a helpful friend.

Both the superstars are fond of each other.

As for SRK,Aamir always comments on him during his interviews.In one interview,he sais something like,”“everyone knows who No.1 is?”
