Aamir walks ramp

All energies diverted to ‘3 Idiots’. Actor Aamir Khan is all excited to promote his home production film ‘3 Idiots’ for which now he walked the ramp. On the ramp he was joined by his co actors Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan.

The three actors have earlier worked together in Rang De Basanti, which was a superhit and acclaimed by everyone. That movie was inspiring and this one is too. Aamir says, “I am hoping that it will be an extremely inspirational film for not only the youth, but each and every person who sees the film.”

The movie is set to release on Christmas but the promotional activities are on its height. To promote the film Aamir has designed T shirts and also other merchandise too have been launched with collaboration with a reputed fashion house.

Aamir as designer

After gaining success as an actor, then as a producer, and then as a director, Aamir Khan is now turning into a designer. Aamir Khan is planning to design T-shirts for his forthcoming film ‘3 Idiots‘ which is set to release this Christmas.

Between the shots of film, Aamir used to doodle on the notepad, and everyone who saw his designs loved it. Therefore Aamir thought of launching his designer range of Ts. It is said that these T-shirts will mirror a funky attitude and an irreverent outspokenness. In all Aamir has made 10 designs.

This for the first time Aamir is designing for a movie, although earlier he has associated with apparel brands for movies ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Ghajini’. Aamir wants that designs should reflect the spirit of ‘3 Idiots‘.

Bollywood’s successful actor Aamir Khan along with actress Katrina Kaif has graced the cover page of Cineblitz Gold Love and Longing in the Hindi Cinema, a coffee table book. The book is a tribute to the bollywood industry. It has been released as a mark to celebrate 35 years of CineBlitz.

With the photograph of theirs, they have tried to re-create the iconic poster of Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman as they had looked in hit film ‘Pyaasa’. At the launch Aamir said that his effort was to bring Guru Dutt back into life, which he could do. Katrina too was surprised when she was approached to pose with Aamir for the book.

Aamir bonds with Salmaan

What does Aamir do when his wife Kiran is out? The actor spends time in strengthening his bond with Salman Khan. The two actors are spending a lot of time with each other, as and when they get time from their busy schedule . Also Aamir Khan is planning to hold a special screening of ‘3 Idiots’ only for his best friend Salman Khan.

A lot of instances have been noticed of their friendship. As the rumours go, whenever Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao is away at their weekend bungalow in Panchgani, he packs off his staff by night time. And then he goes for a night out with Salmaan. As told by a common friend of Khans, at first Aamir drives to Salmaan’s home in Bandra, and then both go out on Salmaan’s red bike. After coming from their long drive, if Kiran is out they have drinks at Aamir’s home or else at Salmaan’s home.

And that’s not all. Their friendship goes to the extent that they are having special previews of their films for each other. Earlier Aamir Khan had arranged a preview of ‘Ghajini‘, and also made changes as suggested by Salmaan.

Aamir on another year break

Actor Aamir Khan is these days busy in promoting his much hyped film ‘3 Idiots’. In a recent announcement he has made clear that he won’t be taking up any new assignments for the year 2010, as he wants to concentrate on his three home productions.

Earlier he had decided to take only one year off, but looking at the ongoing projects he has extended the time by one more year. His three films are ‘Delhi Belly’ by Abhinav Deo, Anushka Rizvi’s ‘The Falling’, and his wife Kiran Rao’s directorial debut ‘Dhobi Ghat’.

According to a source, “It requires guts to say no to the best roles going in Bollywood and to a reported fee of approximately Rs.30 crore per film. Aamir loves Idiot

Aamir Khan is excited with his upcoming film ‘3 Idiots’. Based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, in the film Aamir is in role of Rancho, and R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in role of Farhan and Raju respectively. The character of idiot is close to Aamir. He relates himself with it because Aamir himself has always defied stereotypes. He was once written off from the industry but continued to follow his heart and therefore he is one of the most successful in the B-Town.

His definition of idiot is the one who follows his heart and does not conform to society’s norms. And the movie proves it as the idiot turns out to be more successful than his peers. He is in role of a boy in his twenties who’s in college. Aamir himself had started working soon after school therefore he learnt the college days during the shooting.

Aamir Khan reprimanded Prateik

Our ‘perfectionist’ Aamir Khan got frustrated when on the sets of the film ‘Dhobi Ghaat’ the film’s male actor Prateik Babbar reportedly failed to show up. What was more resentful on Aamir’s part as the film is the directorial debut of his wife Kiran Rao.

Prateik was to report for a shoot of ‘Dhobi Ghaat’ at Masjid Bunder in Mumbai. However he had not turned up the entire day. The production unit guys kept on calling him but he did not pick up his mobile. Later they had come to know that Prateik was in Goa. So because of his absence the shooting for the next two days was cancelled as well.

As Aamir is very particular about punctuality and dedication to a project, so when Prateik showed up he reprimanded him. With this reprimand of Aamir, Prateik did not repeat the mistake in future.

My decisions idiotic, says Aamir

If we think that Aamir Khan’s decisions regarding his choice of films or commercials, is always perfect then we are wrong. At least if we are to go by what he said. We all know he has been given the title of the ‘Perfectionist’ for his meticulous work, but he himself has recently claimed that all his decisions so far have been idiotic.

These days Aamir Khan is in news for his latest upcoming flick with Kareena Kapoor ‘3 Idiots‘. He has claimed that all the professional decisions he has taken over the years have been absurd, and ‘3 Idiots’ is one of them. The reason he pointed out is that he has taken risk of playing a 22-year-old character when he is already 44. Not only this, for his flick ‘Rang De Basanti’ he said that it was crazy decision to make the fifth remake of Bhagat Singh. Also he calls the making of ‘Lagaan’ a disastrous decision.

In conclusion we can say that all his idiotic decisions produce blockbuster hits. They are called idiotic only because they are different, but different too can be commercially successful as proven by Aamir Khan.

Aamir admires Bebo

“One can look at her all day and not feel tired” says Aamir Khan about the actress Kareena Kapoor. It seems both are mutually admiring each other. The duo is, for the first time coming together in the film ‘Three Idiots’, for which they have given three kiss scenes too.
Aamir said, “This is the first movie we are coming together in… I’ve always admired Kareena as an actor and have always wanted to work with her. This is the first time we got the opportunity…”

While for Kareena, Aamir is the ‘Emperor of cinema’, and on a lighter note she adds, “Yes, I’m romancing one of the 3 idiots, but when he is as endearing as Aamir Khan who would complain? I had a blast shooting for this film!”

Not only admiration, Aamir is supporting Kareena to promote her Saif-starrer flick ‘Kurbaan’. He said, “Saif is unwell, so why only Kareena, even I’ll go out and promote it. I’m looking forward to watch Kurbaan. It comes across as a good film. It’ll be interesting to see what it’s all about!”

Aamir-Big B to discuss marketing gimmicks

Amitabh Bachchan Bollywood superstar and Aamir Khan, Mr Perfectionist are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming films Paa and 3 Idiots. The two actors will be meeting on Sunday to discuss marketing strategies for both the films.

Paa is set for release on December 4, while 3 Idiots will hit the screens December 25. “Aamir comes over Sunday at my initiative to discuss a few promotional points for our respective films. It is always a joy to meet him… We have always spent time together discussing various topics of common interest and yes films is one of them. Lets see how things go.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 3 Idiots has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller “Five Point Someone”, it stars R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor apart from Aamir.

Big B too is promoting Paa, directed by R. Balakrishnan, film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan as Amitabh’s parents. Amitabh Bachchan says, “His fans often come to visit him on Sundays and that he plans to give hand outs autographed by me or maybe by Auro”.

Amitabh added to his statement, “Talks have now been initiated for the premiere to be held in not one, not two, but three centres. And we are diligently working on a London-Dubai-Mumbai destination… The logistics and the mechanics are being worked out and hopefully there will be some news soon.”
